Van Jones has resigned! A devastating victory, for Glenn Beck, Fox News and all of its supporters, against the progressives and there socialized movement. It is rather ironic that Van Jones organization Color Of Change, that he co-founded, a month ago started to go after Glenn Beck’s sponsors, to try to force him off the air. Well, he felt the full force of free thinking conservative minds. This country is not communist and will not let radicals seeking social justice represent American ideals.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says President Barack Obama’s adviser Van Jones is resigning amid controversy over past inflammatory statements.
Van Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly “green jobs,” is linked to efforts suggesting a governmental role in the 2001 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans.
Jones issued an apology on Thursday. When asked the next day whether Obama still had confidence in him, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said only that Jones “continues to work in the administration.”
The White House issued a statement early Sunday saying Jones had quit the administration.
From PJ Media: So in case you’re coming in completely cold to the story, for a look back at the “vicious smear campaign” built largely around googling Jones’ past statements and interviews, click here, and follow the links:

Jennifer Rubin wrote shortly before Jones’ resignation was made public that “It’s hard to believe this isn’t a fictional character dreamed up by Obama’s conservative critics. No, unfortunately, Jones is very real”:
This offers further support for the argument that Obama’s flock of czars should be trimmed or eliminated. (It’s not like the administration’s Cabinet-vetting process was that great either, frankly.) But that’s a tangential point at this stage. The immediate issue is that the White House, under siege for its leftward lurch and battling the tag that the president is out of touch with ordinary Americans, is harboring such a figure. It’s hard to believe this isn’t a fictional character dreamed up by Obama’s conservative critics. No, unfortunately, Jones is very real.
And this, of course, won’t last. Eventually Jones will go, and then the talk will turn to how incompetent the White House has become, letting a bad story fester and doubts to increase as to the president’s judgment and values. (Remember when we were told that his superior judgment was the reason to elect him?) That is par for the course at the White House these days—unable to do the right thing and lacking the common sense to fake it.
Speaking of Fox News, something tells me that Glenn Beck is going to have reasonably good ratings on Monday.
Washington Post had a full statement from Van Jones, “I am resigning my post at the Council on Environmental Quality, effective today,” Jones said in a resignation letter released by the CEQ late Saturday.
“On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me. They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide,” he said.
“I have been inundated with calls — from across the political spectrum — urging me to ‘stay and fight,'” he continued. “But I came here to fight for others, not for myself. I cannot in good conscience ask my colleagues to expend precious time and energy defending or explaining my past. We need all hands on deck, fighting for the future.
“It has been a great honor to serve my country and my President in this capacity. I thank everyone who has offered support and encouragement. I am proud to have been able to make a contribution to the clean energy future. I will continue to do so, in the months and years ahead.”
If, as Levy wrote above, “Won’t it be weird when people who don’t get their news from the internet or FNC have no idea who the guy who resigned is?” — they’re not going to learn much more from this initial NBC report:
President Obama’s environmental adviser Van Jones resigned from his post late Saturday evening after he came under fire for a series of inflammatory statements he made about Republicans, the White House said early Sunday morning.
Jones, Obama’s green jobs “czar,” was caught on tape in an expletive-packed rant, directly attacking Republicans in the Senate who he said abused their majority position in the past to push legislation through. He told Politico after the statements were released that the comments were “inappropriate” and “offensive.”
“They do not reflect the experience I have had since joining the administration,” Jones said in the statement.
The White House kept mum about Jones Friday, telling reporters only Jones would remain as part of Obama’s administration.
No mention of trutherism, self-admitted communism, support for Mumia Abu Jamal, etc. It’s about those nasty ol’ “inflammatory statements he made about Republicans.”
Uh-huh. If that’s all it takes, watch for two-thirds of Congress to resign this weekend as well.
The following blog was taken from Gateway Pundit.
In case you haven’t heard it yet, Van Jones has a political CD out. Jones used his Ella Baker Center for Human Rights to found Freedom Fighter Music, the label WarTimes appeared on. WarTimes is also the name of an anti-war-on-al-Qaeda propaganda newspaper Jones helped organize. The album featured cop killer Mumia abu-Jamal.
Unbelievable!
Barack Obama’s wacky communist-Truther Green Czar who hated Bush, whitey and capitalism also spent some time in the music studio. While he was director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights Van Jones cut a vile CD against whites, the government, Israel, The Man, oil companies, and everything else American.
Van Jones was even featured in the recording!
Here are a few of the lines from hate-filled anti-white, anti-American, anti-Israeli recording by Van Jones and the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights:
Various Singers-Poets: The American way, manufactuered by these white folks in office. By these rich men here to mock us. The United States is a stolen land led by right-wing, war hungry, oil thirsty. And when it’s all said and done they still can’t clean their own place because they got people of color playing servant to do that sh*t for them… The true terrorists are made in the US, in this police state… The US is a crack-fiend for oil. And they’re ready to rape, kill, assault, rob anybody and everybody…
Bombing babies in the night. Two wrongs don’t make a right… The US needs to exit its colonies in Iraq, in the region and finally in Israel.
Van Jones: At this point. The end of the occupation. The right of return of the Palestinian people. These are critical dividing lines in human rights. We have to be here. No American would put up with an Israeli-style occupation of their hometown for 53 days let alone 54 years. US tax dollars are funding violence against people of color inside the US borders and outside the US borders.
Van Jones sounds like fellow Jew-haters Bill Ayers, Rashid Khalidi, and Jeremiah Wright. What a shock.
Is it really that surprising that Barack Obama put him in charge of the Cap and Trade legislation?
More… A Saturday bonus– Van Jones haikus.

Sen. Kit Bond urges congressional hearing on Mr. Jones; GOP Rep. Pence calls for resignation
The GOP is finally waking up on Obama czardom.
I’ve mentioned GOP House Rep. Jack Kingston’s bill on Czar Reform and Accountability before.
Today, GOP Sen. Kit Bond called for congressional oversight on nutball green jobs czar Van Jones:
U.S. Senator Kit Bond, ranking member of the Green Jobs and the New Economy Subcommittee of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, today called for a Congressional oversight hearing probing the fitness of a senior White House official.
In a letter to Senator Bernie Sanders, Chairman of the Subcommittee with oversight of administration green jobs efforts, Bond voiced concerned that Mr. Van Jones, as Special Advisor to the President for Green Jobs, is becoming increasingly erratic and unstable as reflected by incendiary comments and repugnant associations made public in recent days. Mr. Van Jones is responsible for directing administration policy and spending on tens of billions of dollars in taxpayer funding regarding environmental policy and green jobs programs. However, since the White House appointed him as a “czar,” Mr. Jones was able to avoid any oversight or confirmation by the U.S. Senate.
In his letter to Senator Sanders, Bond wrote, “Today, news outlets are reporting that Van Jones signed a petition from the so-called ‘Truther’ movement which suggests that the Bush administration ‘may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext to war.’ I can imagine few sentiments more repulsive to our brave fighting soldiers and the victims of the 9/11 terror tragedy than to think the U.S. government deliberately allowed the events of 9/11 to occur. Of course Mr. Jones in hindsight is embarrassed by the public disclosure of his participation in the petition drive and now asserts he did not read the fine print of the petition. But can the American people trust a senior White House official that is so cavalier in his association with such radical and repugnant sentiments?”
